Terms of Service
Effective Date: August 27, 2026
Last Updated: August 27, 2026
1. Introduction
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Imori, an AI-assisted writing platform operated by Namos Labs ("we," "our," or "us"), including our web app, browser clipper, desktop app, and Raycast extension. By creating an account or using Imori, you agree to these Terms.
2. Account Registration
- You must create an account, authenticated through Clerk, to use Imori
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account
- You must provide accurate account information and keep it up to date
- You must be at least 13 years old to use Imori
3. User Content
You retain ownership of the drafts, artifacts, style guides, and other writing content you create in Imori ("Your Content"). By using Imori, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and transmit Your Content solely as needed to operate the service — including sending relevant context to our AI providers to generate suggestions, edits, or drafts on your behalf.
Content you generate with Imori's AI tools is yours to use as you see fit. You're responsible for ensuring you have the rights to any material you upload, clip, or use as a writing sample (for example, via the browser clipper or voice profile).
If you choose to publish content to a public showcase or community feature, you grant us a license to display that content in connection with the feature you published to. You can withdraw that content at any time by unpublishing it.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use Imori to generate content that is illegal, defamatory, or infringes on someone else's rights
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or circumvent rate limits or security controls
- Use another person's account without permission
- Interfere with or disrupt the service, including via excessive automated requests
- Use Imori to build a competing AI writing product by extracting our prompts, model outputs at scale, or underlying systems
5. Subscription and Payments
- Some features require a paid subscription, billed and processed through Stripe
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled before the renewal date
- You can cancel anytime from your account settings; you'll retain access through the end of the billing period you've already paid for
- Fees are non-refundable except where required by law
- We may change pricing with advance notice; continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance
6. Intellectual Property
The Imori name, logo, product design, and underlying software are owned by Namos Labs. These Terms don't grant you any rights to our trademarks, branding, or source code beyond what's necessary to use the service as intended.
7. Termination
- You may delete your account at any time from account settings
- We may suspend or terminate your account for violating these Terms, including abuse, non-payment, or illegal use
- Your private content will be deleted within 30 days of account deletion
- Content you've published to a public showcase may remain available unless you unpublish it before deleting your account
8. Disclaimers and Limitations
Imori is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or content you find inappropriate — you're responsible for reviewing and editing anything before you publish or rely on it. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Namos Labs is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Imori, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Namos Labs harmless from claims arising from your violation of these Terms or misuse of the service.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of Imori after such notice constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
